Jayy the Professor & Writer

Stamp your existence in history by marking time. Detail your life in ways no one who knows you could do. Leave no stone uncovered and pull the veil off your secrets. Recover narratives that explain your living by remembering those who came before you– from this, you consider those who come after. Tell your story so that you may live forever.

Creating space and advocating for communities are my daily drive. Having empathy with critical responses are the only positive ways to move forward. We cannot change the past, but I can use the tools I have to understand life experiences with hopes of a better future. I encourage you to use your culture, rhetoric, and communication to affect change in the world.

Hope

I cannot change the history of this world and the past of individuals, but it is my mission to leave a positive impact on each person that I meet. I can only learn, hope, and see a better future.

I’m interested in the intersections of intellectual authority, critical pedagogy, and socio-cultural rhetorics. My work interrogates the rise of pseudo-intellectualism, the ethics of expertise, and the ways authority is constructed and perceived in academic and public discourse. I explore how epistemic responsibility influences knowledge production. Additionally, my research examines environmental rhetorics, AI’s impact on knowledge systems, and the role of bias in healthcare and social narratives, bridging academic theory with real-world application.
